Eleanor and Joseph Wertheim International Scholarships at the University of Melbourne

Eligibility:
-be an unmarried, divorced or widowed female
- be over 25 years of age by the application closing date
-be an Australian citizen or hold an Australian permanent residency or permanent humanitarian visa
- be an undergraduate, graduate coursework or research student, enrolled or planning to enrol full-time at the University of Melbourne (at least 37.5 points per semester) in 2010, with at least twelve months of full-time study remaining to complete their course
- have a strong academic record
- be able to provide documentary evidence that they are in receipt of means-tested income support from Centrelink or, for students who believe they experience significant financial need but do not receive income support payments from Centrelink,
-provide evidence of financial need, including an explanation for the absence of support payments from Centrelink have a strong academic record

International Scholarships for International Students: No

Scholarship Description: The Eleanor and Joseph Wertheim Scholarship was established by the Dr Eleanor Wertheim Scholarship Trust. It aims to assist unmarried female students over the age of 25, enrolled full-time at the University of Melbourne, who are in very difficult circumstances.

Majors: Students in the life sciences, public health, agriculture, and engineering who are looking for an opportunity to interact and learn more about Indian culture are encouraged to apply.

3.) Students must be interested in the sciences, medicine, agriculture, public health, or engineering.

Scholarship Description: The Khorana Program offers opportunities for students (graduate and undergraduate) from U.S. universities to pursue a summer of research in India.Students will be matched with mentors in India based on research interests. Opportunities are available to spend a summer at an academic institution, NGO, or private company in India. Please view the list of partner institutions in India. The names of faculty members who have mentored prior Khorana Scholars are also listed.

The scholarships are intended for Indian applicants who have completed a Master's degree. Neither studies at Master's level nor are post-doctoral studies supported in the programme.

Scholarship Open for Students of Following Countries: India

Scholarship Description: The CIMO India Fellowships are offered for Doctoral level studies, research and teaching at universities and university research institutes in Finland. The scholarships are intended for Indian applicants who have completed a Master's degree. Neither studies at Master's level nor post-doctoral studies are supported in the programme. The amount provided by the scholarship varies from 900 to 1200 euros per month. Also, an additional travel grant of 500 euros is awarded to applicants who will be invited from India to Finland. The scholarship period may vary from 3 to 12 months.

Scholarship Application Deadline: In the CIMO India Fellowships programme, there is a rolling deadline – that is, applications are considered at all times. However, the application should be submitted at least 5 months before the intended scholarship period. Decisions will be made within approximately 3 months after receipt of application.
