IFS is a research council with international operations and the mission to build the scientific capacity of developing countries in sciences related to the sustainable management of biological and water resources. Since 1974, IFS has provided more than 7,000 Research Grants to young scientists in some 100 developing countries in Africa, Asia and the Pacific, and Latin America and the Caribbean.
New applicants wishing to apply for a research grant to IFS are invited to submit their research application form before the deadline.

The Mandela Magdalene College Scholarship for Postgraduate South Africa Students at University of Cambridge UK 2012

The Mandela Magdalene College Scholarships were announced in March 1995 when Nelson Mandela, then President of The Republic of South Africa, agreed to lend his name to the initiative.
The scheme results from collaboration between Mr. Chris von Christierson and other benefactors, the Cambridge Commonwealth Trust and Magdalene College, Cambridge. Up to three scholarships are offered each year. The scheme is administered on behalf of the University of Cambridge and Magdalene College by the Board of Graduate Studies (for admission to the University) and the Cambridge Trusts (for funding).

International Scholarships in The Boyer School of Education faculty will select one individual to receive a full scholarship to William Howard Taft University's nationally accredited Doctor of Education Program.

Eligibility:
Scholarship applicants must hold a Master's degree from a nationally or regionally accredited college or university (or the foreign equivalent) and have a minimum of five years of teaching or education administration experience.

International Scholarships for International Students: No

Scholarship Description: The award, valued in excess of $20,000.00 will include all tuition and related fees. (The award recipient is only responsible for the costs of books and materials, which can be obtained through many online sources.) In addition to the full scholarship, a limited number of partial scholarships may also be awarded to other qualified individuals.

National Cartoonists Society Foundation (NCSF) announce Jay Kennedy Scholarships for Undergraduate Junior or Senior, USA International Scholarships 2011

Scholarship can be taken at: United States, Canada or Mexico

Eligibility:
Applicants must be students at a 4-year college in the United States, Canada or Mexico who will be a Junior or Senior during the 2012-2013 academic year. Applicants do not have to be art majors to be eligible for this scholarship.

International Scholarships for International Students: No

Scholarship Description: The annual Jay Kennedy Scholarship, in memory of the late King Features editor, was funded by an initial $100,000 grant from the Hearst Foundation/King Features Syndicate and additional generous donations from Jerry Scott, Jim Borgman, Patrick McDonnell and many other prominent cartoonists. Submissions are adjudicated by a panel of top cartoonists and an award is given to the best college cartoonist. The recipient is feted at the annual NCS Reuben Awards Convention attended by many of the world's leading cartoonists.
